If you haven’t noticed, I don’t write in chronological order. And I’m not referring to books such as “Miles” and “Stonecastle Inn,” which have story lines taking place in more than one century. No, I’m talking about books like “Last Chance Inn,” which takes place… right about now. Then there’s “Depart the Darkness,” which is currently in progress. It takes place in February of this year, so 2016.

Chronological OrderSo for the sake of anyone out there who’s curious, I constructed two timelines. One is chronological order. The other, is reading order.

Reading Order

They aren’t necessarily the same. And the reading order timeline doesn’t include all the books, only those pertaining to the House of Bannerman in some way. Why? Because it really doesn’t matter when you splice the Mystery Lane series in there. Or Terms of Engagement… although, there may be crossover at some point. If so, that will change. But for now, only those book which have crossover with The House of Bannerman series are listed. If you want to read them in the order intended, then now you know what order that is.

I’ve got to get back to “Depart the Darkness” now. It’s on page 214, and someone’s about to get their comeuppance. I can hardly wait! As Miles said, if he had a list of people he dislikes intensely, this guy would be near the top. Same here.

So happy reading, and I’m going to get back to Miles and Anika, and “Depart the Darkness.”
