I start out withIMG_1299 an idea.  I map it out, I know exactly what’s going to happen in a novel and when, and… Then I sit down to write and my characters follow their own plan.  Their story takes a definite twist, and that’s exactly what just happened in 601 Suspense Street, book 2 of the Mystery Lane series.

I know better than to try and argue though, it would be the equivalent of novel-suicide to force a character to do anything other than what works for them.  So I’m letting go of my preconceived plans and turning from writer to scribe for the time being.  I look forward to seeing what happens next.

My new laptop bag arrived today, and I love it!  Lasting Impressions printed it, and they did a great job.

Happy reading everyone, and now I’m going to get back to 601 Suspense Street…
