{"id":465,"date":"2015-08-11T22:02:07","date_gmt":"2015-08-12T04:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/?p=465"},"modified":"2015-08-11T22:02:07","modified_gmt":"2015-08-12T04:02:07","slug":"the-end-is-near","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/the-end-is-near\/","title":{"rendered":"The End Is Near!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">“601 Suspense Street” is at 289<a href=\"http:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Suspense-Street-Kindle-Cover.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-386 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Suspense-Street-Kindle-Cover-188x300.jpg\" alt=\"Suspense Street Kindle Cover\" width=\"188\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Suspense-Street-Kindle-Cover-188x300.jpg 188w, https:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Suspense-Street-Kindle-Cover-94x150.jpg 94w, https:\/\/melissasimonin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Suspense-Street-Kindle-Cover-640x1024.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 188px) 100vw, 188px\" \/><\/a> pages, and the end is near.\u00a0 Usually if one hears the end is near one might have the tendency to flee in the direction of a location further away from the end in order to put off it’s arrival or perhaps avoid it entirely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But when it comes to the writing of a novel, then to have that end in sight is lovely indeed.\u00a0 I’ve agonized at times over this book.\u00a0 It hasn’t been my most difficult to write, I’d say “Darkness Falls” takes that award.\u00a0 I got halfway through “Darkness” and wrote “715 Mystery Lane,” then came back to it and struggled just as much.\u00a0 So “601” wasn’t that tough, but, it wasn’t easy either.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The official release date for “601 Suspense Street” is October 16, 2015.\u00a0 It’ll be available for preorder starting sometime tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I need to get back and finish “601” now, because I’ve got other books and other characters who are vying to be next in line, and ready to get their names and get dialoging.\u00a0 “Depart the Darkness,” 5th in the HOB series, is definitely on my to-write list.\u00a0 I’ll be starting another stand-alone book too, but which one is yet to be determined.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I’m debating whether making another latte is worth waking the entire household for.\u00a0 Seriously, why is it not mandatory that electronic appliances have a “No Beep” option?\u00a0 Who came up with the concept of the electronic beep anyway?\u00a0 Someone with no heart, that’s who!\u00a0 Did you know people have DIED from clock alarms?\u00a0 People with Long QT Syndrome, meaning the distance between the Q wave and the T wave on their EKG is longer than normal.\u00a0 Yes, some people can actually be startled to death.\u00a0 That’s one of the fascinating facts I learned years ago in one of my pre-nursing classes.\u00a0 I also learned that grasshopper blood is copper based, rather than iron, and that’s why their blood is green.\u00a0 Just like a Vulcan’s.\u00a0 Imagine how useful that fact would be to a nurse, or anyone else really, should a Vulcan wander in off the street and want to know why their blood isn’t red like everyone else’s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I’m still debating the latte.\u00a0 I may already be wired enough as it is…<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>“601 Suspense Street” is at 289 pages, and the end is near.\u00a0 Usually if one hears the end is near one might have the tendency to flee in the direction of a location further away from the end in order to put off it’s arrival or perhaps avoid it entirely.
