“601 Suspense Street” is at 289Suspense Street Kindle Cover pages, and the end is near.  Usually if one hears the end is near one might have the tendency to flee in the direction of a location further away from the end in order to put off it’s arrival or perhaps avoid it entirely.

But when it comes to the writing of a novel, then to have that end in sight is lovely indeed.  I’ve agonized at times over this book.  It hasn’t been my most difficult to write, I’d say “Darkness Falls” takes that award.  I got halfway through “Darkness” and wrote “715 Mystery Lane,” then came back to it and struggled just as much.  So “601” wasn’t that tough, but, it wasn’t easy either.

The official release date for “601 Suspense Street” is October 16, 2015.  It’ll be available for preorder starting sometime tomorrow.

I need to get back and finish “601” now, because I’ve got other books and other characters who are vying to be next in line, and ready to get their names and get dialoging.  “Depart the Darkness,” 5th in the HOB series, is definitely on my to-write list.  I’ll be starting another stand-alone book too, but which one is yet to be determined.

I’m debating whether making another latte is worth waking the entire household for.  Seriously, why is it not mandatory that electronic appliances have a “No Beep” option?  Who came up with the concept of the electronic beep anyway?  Someone with no heart, that’s who!  Did you know people have DIED from clock alarms?  People with Long QT Syndrome, meaning the distance between the Q wave and the T wave on their EKG is longer than normal.  Yes, some people can actually be startled to death.  That’s one of the fascinating facts I learned years ago in one of my pre-nursing classes.  I also learned that grasshopper blood is copper based, rather than iron, and that’s why their blood is green.  Just like a Vulcan’s.  Imagine how useful that fact would be to a nurse, or anyone else really, should a Vulcan wander in off the street and want to know why their blood isn’t red like everyone else’s.

I’m still debating the latte.  I may already be wired enough as it is…
