Let me begin, by saying that if you haven’t read the House of Bannerman series, The Investigations of Jack Ryland series, Lochlan Museum, Failure to Engage, Disengaged, and the other eight books I’ve written thus far, then that’s fine. You can still read this one, because it stands alone. Cake is still cake without the icing, and without first having had the cake with the icing, it would be hard to miss it. While skipping straight to Uncertainly Yours won’t leave one feeling awkward like attending someone else’s family reunion might, and more often than not the inside jokes are subtle enough not to be recognized as such, nevertheless, to do so will deprive the reader of the richest possible reading experience.

Having made that disclaimer, this book takes place in the fall of 2017, and therefore is a rather extreme case of foreshadowing for two of my series. As of this writing, House of Bannerman is on book 5 and currently in early spring 2016, and The Investigations of Jack Ryland is on book 2 in late summer, 2016. Both are in the process of acquiring additional books, which will chronologically come before Uncertainly Yours. Writing this book was a challenge, due to the chronology. Striking a balance of giving enough away to be interesting, yet not taking away the freshness of those books yet to be written wasn’t the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but I feel satisfied with the outcome. As the reader, I hope that you do too. And so without further adieu, on to the description for Uncertainly Yours

Lending a listening ear seems harmless enough to twenty-two-year-old certified nursing assistant, Penny Morgan, but there’s more to the Riverside Senior Living Center than meets the eye, and there are those who will stop at nothing to keep it that way.
