601 Suspense Street is now complete.  At 350 pages, it’s my longest novel thus far.  Now the editing stage begins, and once that is done, finally it’ll be in the hands of my proofreaders.  I would say by the end of this week… but that’s what I said last week, and probably the week before.  I do this with every book, I guess they’re used to it by now and don’t take me too seriously when I estimate.

School starts back this Wednesday, and that means several consecutive hours of uninterrupted time to write for approximately five days out of every week.  Perhaps I’ll get back to writing a book a month.  That’s what I was doing during the school year, but summer break set me back.

I am very thankful for Walmart grocery delivery, which is available in the area in which we live.  Order online, have it delivered next morning… I love it.  So much time and energy saved.  They don’t just deliver groceries, either.  Tomorrow they’ll deliver all of Em’s school supplies too.  Brad often talks about different parts of the country, different parts of Denver, and what it would be like to live elsewhere.  Well… wherever we live, there better be grocery delivery.  That, and good schools.  And decent doctors.  And… I guess I have more priorities than I thought!  But definitely, there must be grocery delivery.

Happy reading everyone, and now I’m going to get back to editing 601 Suspense Street…
