House of Bannerman book 5, “Depart the Darkness” is taking off.  I laughed so hard it hurt while writing the first half of the first chapter!  I laughed even more when attempting to read over it again.  It involves Xander, and John is vindicated.  If you’ve read “The Lodge at Whispering Pines” you may be able to guess how “Depart the Darkness” opens.

“Depart” opens on a Sunday night three weeks after “Lodge” ends.  Miles and Anika had a nice break, but it’s time for their next case to begin.  It is as different from the others as they are from each other, which keeps it interesting for the characters, the reader, and the writer.

A second book, which is being referred to currently as Antique Store, because as of yet it has no name, is also in the works.  I’m having a lot of fun getting to know the new cast of characters, and already they’re surprising me and their backstories aren’t what I thought they’d be.  The main characters are Alex Mitchell, and Grace Leighton.

Expect “Depart” and Untitled to be released…  I have no idea when.  It would be great to have a November release, but I may not be done with either by then.  Or I could be done with both.  Barring extreme calamity of some kind, do expect at least one more book release before the New Year.  Ah yes, the New Year, 2016.  The day “The Lodge at Whispering Pines” begins!  We’re catching up with Miles and Anika.

Happy reading, and now with my vanilla coconut latte on the table beside me, I’m going to get back to writing!
