I’m 78% through another reading of “Last Chance Inn” and then it’s on to “Depart.” I’ve got 40 something pages written on it, and in re-reading them, I was very disappointed to get to the end! I want to know what happens next! I do, roughly, but books have a way of taking off in directions I never expected them to. Sometime I’ll write a post or page on what “The Lodge at Whispering Pines” was really supposed to be about. Actually, several, because the plot changed more than once!
The cats and their reaction to Snowball is hilarious. Star watched in fascination and circled the ten gallon habitat several times. Pandy, however, talked incessantly. Little muttery sounds, it was so funny. It was as clear as glass how clearly Pandy did not appreciate that glass separating her from Snowball.
Emily’s reaction was exactly what I hoped it would be (yes, she got to open this present early). She loves Snowball, and watching her become acquainted with every inch of her habitat. We both enjoy watching the little thing run. She goes so fast, her tiny little feet are just a blur. She’s nothing but a round ball of fluff with hands and feet, she doesn’t appear to have arms and legs at all. Very large black eyes though, ears, and thick whiskers.
“Hiding Treasure” is now available. I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I hated to say goodbye to the characters. I’d give them a sequel if I could. But, just as with “Stonecastle Inn,” there’s nothing left for the main characters to do but go have a good life.
Speaking of going, and having a good life, I’m going to go have a good morning and finish reading “Last Chance Inn.” And then, I intend to have a good afternoon and get back to writing “Depart the Darkness!”
Happy reading!
