Lochlan Museum, in spite of its many pages of notes, had a slow start. Then it had a total restart. But, the second time around, it started out on the right foot and kept going. It’s on page 136. Disengaged, third in the Terms of Engagement series, is on page 115.
Failure to Engage is now available in Paperback. On the 24th, the kindle version will be released. I hope my readers find it encouraging, and enjoy Justin and Laney’s story. If I had to say which of my books is the best, in my opinion… that would be difficult. Very difficult. It would be very hard to decide. But if I absolutely had to, like the fate of the world (or my laptop, or my AYL headphones, or my Citizen Way playlist on my iPhone) rested on it, then I would say that it’s Failure to Engage.
One year ago, we were preparing to leave Colorado and move to Texas. I think I finished Last Chance Inn and released it as we were moving, and that I was working on Terms of Engagement during the move. It was an exciting time, and God completely orchestrated the whole thing, down to the last detail. It was the easiest move we’ve ever made. And hopefully the last. This, feels like home. I can’t say I’ve ever felt that way before.
It’s time for me to get back to writing. Unless… no, Brad passed by without inquiring as to whether or not I intend to make dinner this evening. Or, maybe I just didn’t hear him, since I’m wearing my AYL headphones and listening to Citizen Way, For King and Country, and The Afters. Either way, I’m going to take this opportunity to get back to Lochlan Museum. Considering it was begun in 2015, it’s about time it was finished.
Happy reading!
