I did not know this, and that’s why I’m writing this particular post.  Someone very dear to me changed a great deal over the last couple of years.  Instead of being bubbly and sweet this person became dark and very angry.

Thank goodness–no, thank God–she asked for help last month.  Long story short, she has the right doctor who recognized a chemical imbalance.  Meds have corrected this, and she’s seeing a counselor that is completely equipped in the way that she needs.  This woman is hard to get into, but miraculously, within a couple of weeks she had an appointment.

I wish I knew from the beginning that anger can be a sign of depression.  I had no idea.  So… for anyone reading this who did not know before, know it now.  If someone in your life becomes extremely angry and antisocial, maybe they really are angry and antisocial.  Maybe there’s a situation in their life causing that.  Or, they might have a chemical imbalance resulting in depression, and if they do, they need the right kind of help to overcome that.

“Hiding Treasure,” my latest book, is at 122 pages.  “Depart the Darkness,” HOB 5, is 42.  “Hiding Treasure” is writing well, after hitting a stumbling block that left me with such writer’s block I spent all day Monday working on book covers instead.  But yesterday I was writing again, and I’m writing today, so all is good.

Happy reading, and now I’m going to get back to “Hiding Treasure.”
