No, really, it does. Again. BUT this one is probably it, for real this time.
“Depart” starts out at the Lodge, in January, a couple of weeks after “The Lodge at Whispering Pines” ends. So, since that’s where Miles and Anika spend most of the book, the Lodge was on the original cover of “Depart.” But… then, as often happens, things change. The House of Bannerman ended up in the book, after all. And so, I had the excuse I needed to put the House of Bannerman on a cover.
Notice the difference between this view and that on “Miles,” “House of Shadows,” and “Darkness Falls”? More elaborate, you say? Yes. Yes, it is. This, is the House of Bannerman, the main, central portion of the house. Can you imagine getting lost in there? Can you imagine trying to search the entire place for clues to solve a 144 year old mystery!
“Depart” is 243 pages now, and I’m as anxious to wrap up this latest adventure in the lives of the Bannermans, as they are. There are many more adventures to be had, and once this one’s complete, they can begin. Or finish, rather. One of the books is already half written! Chronological isn’t always my thing.
Happy reading, and I’m going to get back to writing.
