After being side-tracked for much of the last couple of weeks by travel and a side-project or two, today after a trip to the corner mini-mart for a bag of Cheetos, I got back to writing “601 Suspense Street.” I have several new pages to show for it, which makes me very pleased. Will really did throw me for a loop when he diverged so drastically from the plot and timeline I originally intended, but I’ve moved past that and the new pages are starting to flow. This is in spite of two new characters and the plot for a future book bombarding me all morning. These people don’t even have names! I can’t begin to imagine how pushy they’ll be once they do. They aren’t getting names until I’m done with 601, that much is certain. I’m anxious to start House of Bannerman book 5, “Depart the Darkness,” also… so these chatty nameless characters may just have to wait a couple of months.
Happy reading, everyone! Now I’m going to get back to 601 Suspense Street…
