This beautiful guy is Fox, a dearly loved and dearly missed friend. Anyone who has read 715 Mystery Lane may very well wonder… what kind of dog is Fox? Will never said, because Will had no idea. Fox never said, because he can not talk in a way that Will can understand. I however do know what kind of dog Fox is, and I can not only talk I can type.
Fox is a Jindo, an ancient and noble breed as he said more than once. Most people have never heard of this breed for good reason. Fox wasn’t quite one of a kind, but very nearly. There aren’t a whole lot of Jindo in the U.S.
While Miles’s Pandora is different in all but appearance to my daughter’s Pandora, Lizzie’s Samson has a different name than my Independence, and Sarah’s Star doesn’t pinch with her little front teeth or stick her head in mixing bowls, Will’s Fox and my Fox are the same.
So if you’ve read 715 Mystery Lane, you know exactly why I miss him so much and why it feels so good to see him live again in the Mystery Lane series.
I’ve got 25 pages to go on “Isle” and it will be complete, so… happy reading, and I’m going to get back to writing and get it done!
Fox is soooo fantastic. Both of them <3
Melissa, I remember when you adopted him! He was so blessed to have you and your family. I can’t wait to read about him in your books!
