…and it’s only just begun! “Terms of Engagement” is now 184 pages. I have a hard time imagining this one won’t go well over 300.  The book started out with two main characters, Casey Travis and Lina (Evangeline) Phillips. Then Lina’s older sister Patrice, and Evan Thompson the guy in the house across the street from their grandparents, quickly joined them. You never know what will happen once a book gets started and the characters begin to develop. So, the book now has four main characters, and thus far, they’ve yet to be in the same placCamp Emmaus Kindle Covere at the same time. They’ll get there, but not for several more chapters.

Camp Emmaus received a new cover, which is now live on the Amazon website. I love it! Who wouldn’t want to go to camp here? Unless they were afraid of water. Or mountains. I’d go there, because I’m not, and I love canoeing as much as Lizzie does. Aside from the lake, which is transplanted from another location, the camp is based tightly on one which once thrived in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico. I wish I could visit again, and send Emily there! But it was destroyed in a forest fire before she was even born. Skyridge Christian Youth Camp lives on in “Camp Emmaus” though, sort of like Fox and DC live on in the Mystery Lane series.

It’s a good thing Jack’s book, “Last Chance Inn,” is already finished and available for pre-order, because there may be huge changes in store for this family soon (mine, not Jack’s). In that event, my writing will be slowed down for a while. If I consume enough lattes, maybe I can get “Terms” finished before then. I will certainly try!

Happy reading, and now I’m going to get back to “Terms of Engagement” and see how many pages, perhaps chapters, I can finish before the need for sleep catches up with me!
