I’m finishing up “Hiding Treasure.”  Probably wise, since it’s already out for pre-order!  “Last Chance Inn” is the next stand-alone book on my to-do list.  I’ll be writing it alongside “Depart the Darkness,” HOB 5, which I’m looking forward to getting back to.  Today the chapter I wrote involved a guy named Jack Ryland.  He happens to be the main character in “Last Chance Inn.”  I can hardly wait to write that book now!  I find this guy utterly hysterical.  I laughed so hard.  Which wasn’t good, my lungs are already bleeding from flying down the stairs and out the door and after the vehicle I thought was being used to kidnap my daughter this morning on the way to the bus stop.  Amazing how many circumstantial factors worked together to make it appear that way.  The truth is that her best friend’s mother saw she was about to miss the bus, and gave her a ride to the stop which isn’t far, but she wouldn’t have made it otherwise.  This is a very nice lady, and I wouldn’t have thought twice if I knew that was her vehicle.  But I didn’t, and as a result I would’ve beat the fastest runner in the world I think.  I had no idea I could run so fast.  Em said she had no idea I could run at all.  Very funny, Em, I’m lying on the floor bleeding internally the rest of the day, and that’s the thanks I get!  Not that I did anything, it turns out, other than run down the street in my pajamas in an effort to prevent her from catching the bus.

Anyway, in between bouts of coughing up blood, I wrote the chapter that includes Jack Ryland.  I know everyone who loves my books is going to love reading this!

Happy reading, and now I’m going to get back to “Hiding Treasure,” so I can get started on Jack’s book.
