Star is our sweet angel kitty. Usually. Obviously she has her moments, and was I ever glad I’d taken the dough out of the mixing bowl before she showed up in the kitchen and did that! Usually she’s a sweet unassuming little creature. When compared to the chair-stealing gray shadow cat Pandy, then comparatively speaking, Star qualifies for sainthood.
Sarah’s cat in Stonecastle Inn, also named Star, is identical in many ways to the real Star. I took pity on Morgan and Sarah though. Their Star doesn’t pinch with her little front teeth! Maybe I should re-think the whole sainthood thing… The real Star does do all the work of petting herself. She shoves her nose under our hands and rubs all over. She’s incredibly affectionate, but doesn’t tolerate being picked up and held for long.
Perhaps we’ll see Star again someday at Stonecastle Inn. The urge to continue Morgan, Sarah, and Star’s story is growing stronger, so… we’ll see what happens. Morgan wants another book, so it may. In the meantime, there’s crossover in “Darkness Falls,” House of Bannerman book 3, and Stonecastle. “The Lodge at Whispering Pines,” HOB book 4, begins on New Year’s Day at Stonecastle Inn, and Morgan and Sarah are scheduled to make another appearance in a future HOB book.
For now, Morgan needs to chill, because I’ve got “Isle” to finish so I can focus my full attention on “601 Suspense Street,” Mystery Lane book 2!
Happy reading, and now I’m going to get back to writing…
