And, 10,000+ words.  So with 100,000 words being the goal, 601 Suspense Street is 10% written.

I was quite thrown off by the detour Will took.  I sat staring at the laptop today, drawing a blank, uncertain where to take the story from there.  I came so close to opening the file for “Depart the Darkness,” HOB book 5.  But I didn’t, because I know, if I start writing about Miles and Anika I’ll keep going until the book is done and 601 Suspense Street will be left to wait until then.  Miles and Anika already have a book coming out in August, and Mystery Lane needs a second book in the series.

I’m glad to say inspiration came as it always does when I call Mom and start talking.  That’s when my best brainstorming happens.  So 601 is moving forward again, different than I expected it to be, but–Will knew what he was doing.  Everyone–and by  that I mean Gemma, Fox, and DC–are happy with the changes he made.

A bit of trivia for you here, before I go… Anika’s birthday is June 1st, and that’s where the 601 in 601 Suspense Street comes from.

Happy reading!
